  1. Your conference seems heavily slanted toward south Ireland. What about the North, the Northwest, Breifne, and Leinster (where Dublin is)?

  2. We will attempt to cover the whole island through a mix of presentations on geographical, Clan, and individual surname projects. Adrian Martyn's presentation on the Tribes of Galway will cover the west, there are several presentations that will cover the south (Munster Irish, McCarthy, O'Mahoney), and several individual surname project presentations will cover the north and east of the island. We also have two new presentations (to be announced shortly) that will cover the north of the island in greater depth. Hopefully this first year of the conference will encourage more people to come forward to discuss the results of their projects, and will enlarge more people to get involved and start DNA projects of their own.

  3. This looks like an interesting programme. I hope to catch some of the presentations on replay.
I hope you might post on lessons learned for those who might be tempted to try something similar.
